★The great album for me “FireHouse”, for sleepless nights
When I have sleepless nights, sometimes I hear music while I drowse in bed. In such cases, I always choose FireHouse’s album “FireHouse” to have with me. Every song on this album is easy listening and comfortable for me when I’m half asleep. No, no wait, I really am listening, I promise!
On this album, “The Overnight Sensation” is unforgettable for me. In the intro there is a part where he shouts out a long, long “Yeah!”. Sometimes I try to sing this part with my metal song-singing friends at karaoke.
★Great and tender voice, C.J. Snare
C.J. Snare has been the lead singer of FireHouse since they made their debut. His voice always cheers me up. When I can’t sleep late at night, I get anxious. That anxiousness results in more anxiety, and it’s even harder to fall asleep. But his youthful, cheerful, and bright voice relaxes me. Honestly I don’t know exactly the reason why. Even when he sings painful love songs, I still feel his passion to move forward into the future casually...like he's just taking a stroll in a pair of jeans, I guess.
★I think “Don’t Treat Me Bad” is really representative of them as a band.
Not only the bright mood and rhythmical sound, but also it’s just cheerful for me when I’m depressed. At the beginning of the melody, his voice is really low and husky. It’s awesome!
★FireHouse’s songs generally have good melodies for singing.
They’re so easy to listen to, and I feel like being able to sing smoothly and naturally with joy. I can’t help but praise their sense of song writing, because a lot of their songs let me believe that nice melodies exist naturally and honestly in this world, and that we don’t have to force the melodies too much. So maybe because of that, I like them.
★The song of “I Live My Life for You” has such a nice melody.
It really sinks into my heart so honestly.
